Foundation of the Galileo Services Association.

Purchase of activities from an EADS subsidiary on Air Command and Control System (ACCS).

Foundation of the ORganization of European GNSS INdustry of equipment and service (OREGIN).

FDC recommends to the EC and the EU Member States the consideration of security aspects on the future Galileo Programme, including integration of a controlled access service, i.e. Galileo PRS.

First contract with ESA to support the ESA GNSS Office.

First contract with EUROCONTROL identifying the available knowledge and the required Research and Development work to support the implementation of satellite navigation in Europe.

First contract with the EC providing support for the development of the European GNSS Programmes.
