During the last couple of years, a large variety of Copernicus “user uptake” activities have been initiated by the European Commission with the objective to foster the wide-spread use of Copernicus services and products.

In this context, FDC has supported the European Commission for the organisation of Information and Training sessions aiming at promoting of the many uses of Copernicus data and information, while providing the opportunity for hands-on demonstrations and basic training regarding the available data and information, their potential uses and applications, and the tools to access the data and information.

In 2017, FDC supported the organisation of Information and Training sessions in Lithuania, Latvia, Denmark, Sweden, Ireland and France. These sessions gathered 800 participants.

Several additional Information and Training sessions will take place in 2018.
